As the Lionesses prepare to take on Haiti to begin their World Cup 2023 campaign, they will no doubt already have eyes on the trophy.
The European champions are joint third favourites to win the tournament and are still riding high on the success of the 2022 Euros – but as the players remain focused on the pitch, they will also be getting plenty of support from their families and partners.
While some Lionesses are a little more private about the special people in their lives, others proudly display their partners on social media, with whom they enjoy family time and lavish holidays.
Whereas some England Women’s players are dating other football stars, other Lionesses are with athletes in other sports – and one is even dating her club teammate who will be playing in a rival squad at this World Cup.
Here, FEMAIL takes a look at the Lionesses’ boyfriends and partners who will be cheering them on from the sidelines…

Left-back and centre-back Alex Greenwood, 29, is dating Sheffield United player Jack O’Connell, who is also a defender.
The footballer, 29, whose team was promoted to the Premier League once again at the end of last season, following a short spell in the Championship, posted an Instagram story of his home stadium Bramall Lane on Tuesday night, where the Lionesses took on Sweden.
Last year the couple were enjoying a little time off on holiday in Ibiza.
Alex posted photos on her Instagram account of the pair showing off their incredibly toned physiques in swimsuits as they posed in the sea.
Another photo showed Jack tucking into a delicious-looking brunch.
The couple, both 28, have been together for around eight years after meeting when they were at school in Liverpool and Jack often supports his girlfriend at matches – when he doesn’t have training himself, of course.
Ella Toone is dating Joe Bunney, a non-league footballer who is her ‘biggest cheerleader’, it was reported last year
After helping the Lionesses win a historic victory in the Euros 2022 with a goal in the final against Germany, Ella took a trip to Ibiza with Joe
Lioness Ella Toone is dating a non-league footballer who is her ‘biggest cheerleader’, it was revealed last year.
Fresh from her goal scoring exploits at Euro 2022, the 22-year-old was spotted enjoying a loved-up holiday with her beau Joe Bunney.
The pair were snapped partying in Ibiza, where they were hugging and kissing on the beach.
The couple were introduced to each other through mutual friends, with the Sun quoting an anonymous associate as saying ‘they are the perfect pairing’.
The friend added: ‘Joe is Ella’s biggest cheerleader and he could not have been more proud to watch her lifting the trophy at the Euros.
‘They keep their love life out of the spotlight usually but Joe couldn’t resist joining Ella in Ibiza to celebrate with her.’
Since their relationship came to light, Ella has been full of praise for Joe on social media and often posts selfies of herself and her beau.
Millie Bright is dating Levi Crew, a personal trainer, with whom she recently took a short trip down to Devon
Millie Bright has been dating personal trainer Levi Crew for several years.
Levi runs his own personal training platform for athletes – and has used Millie’s Lioness success as an example of how people can achieve their goals with the right coaching and mindset.
Yesterday, he posted a photo on Instagram which included an image of Millie, in which he encouraged people looking to achieve new fitness goals to find their ‘why’.
The picture-perfect couple have recently returned from a trip to Devon together, where they enjoyed a countryside escape in a cute cabin.
At the end of 2022, which was a triumphant year for the Lionesses having won the Euros, the couple travelled long-haul and visited Toronto, Canada together.
Posting snaps of the trip on Instagram, Millie said it was the ‘beautiful trip to end what’s been a year I cannot put into words.’
Lotte Wubben-Moy and her cyclist partner, Tao Geoghegan Hart, have been together for more than two years
Lotte and Tao often take trips abroad together, although recently the cyclist has been recovering at home after falling off his bike
Lotte Wubben-Moy, who plays at club level for Arsenal, is dating Tao Geoghegan Hart who is a British cyclist for UCI WorldTeam Ineos Grenadiers.
The couple went public with their relationship in March 2021 and frequently post photos of each other on Instagram.
In the last year, they attended a fancy dress party for which they dressed up as Amy Winehouse and what appeared to be Conor McGregor.
In May this year, Tao suffered a horror crash when he came off his bike while travelling at speed downhill during Giro d’Italia in slippery conditions and was rushed to hospital.
Since the accident, Lotte has documented Tao’s recovery on Instagram and recently posted a series of photos of him at home, where he appears to be doing well.
She captioned the photos: ‘Time heals all.’
Chloe Kelly, pictured with her boyfriend Scott, lives a quiet home life in Manchester
Lioness hero Chloe Kelly, who was famously booked for taking off her shirt and swinging it over her head following a sensational goal in last year’s Euro 2022 final against Germany, lives a much quieter life off pitch with her boyfriend Scott.
The couple, who have been together for more than three years, share an adorable dog Otis.
Most recently, Scott appeared on Chloe’s Instagram account looking smart in an all-black outfit, while his girlfriend dazzled in an orange co-ord which showed off her incredible figure.
Captioning the photos, Chloe wrote: ‘Much needed downtime with my [love] before a big summer ahead.’
Jess Carter, who currently plays for Chelsea, is in a relationship with Ann-Katrin Berger who will also be playing in the World Cup
The couple got together after first forming a close friendship when they were housemates in Birmingham
Jess Carter, 25, is in a relationship with a rival player who is representing Germany at this year’s Women’s World Cup, Ann-Katrin Berger, 32.
At club level, the couple are teammates at Chelsea FC, although they first met at Birmingham City in 2016.
Speaking to the Guardian in December, Jess joked she thought Ann-Katrin was ‘arrogant’ at first – but before long she was drawn in by her.
Before long the pair ended up becoming housemates and developed a close friendship – and in August 2017 they went on their first date.
Jess opened up about how she had always assumed she was straight, but in time she understood her feelings for Ann-Katrin which ‘developed really quickly and naturally’.
The couple have overcome several obstacles in their relationship, such as when Ann-Katrin was diagnosed with thyroid cancer shortly after they got together.
She underwent treatment for the illness and made a full recovery – but last August she confirmed it had returned, leading her to take time away from football.
However, she is hopefully on the road to recovery once more, as the German player has confirmed on Instagram she is with the squad in Australia ahead of the Women’s World Cup 2023.
