Olivier Giroud has accepted a two-year contract extension at AC Milan, according to reports in Italy.
The French striker scored four goals at the Qatar World Cup, which saw him overtake Thierry Henry as his country’s all-time record goalscorer, with 53.
And as reported by Gazzetta, the 36-year-old has provisionally agreed a new deal with Milan, keeping him at the San Siro until 2024.

It is believed Giroud will thrash the final details out in the coming days, with an official announcement from the club expected in January.
The former Arsenal and Chelsea star signed for the Rossoneri in summer 2021, scoring 14 goals in 38 appearances in all competitions in his debut campaign, with nine in 19 for his club this season.
Fellow veteran Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 41, signed a one-year extension in July but has not played yet this term due to knee surgery.

Belgian Divock Origi joined on a free transfer from Liverpool this summer, signing a four-year contract, but has struggled to adapt and has only netted once in 14 matches.
Giroud will return to the Milanello training ground from his post-World Cup break on Friday, while the rest of the squad will fly to Holland to face PSV in their last friendly before Serie A returns.
Stefano Pioli’s side resume their league campaign on January 4 with an away match against Salernitana. They lie second in the table, eight points behind leaders Napoli.
