Moroccan Football Federation is giving their supporters ‘13,000 free tickets’ for historic World Cup semi-final with France, on top of the country’s national airline laying on 30 additional flights for fans to flock to Qatar
The Moroccan Football Federation has announced it will give 13,000 free tickets to fans for tomorrow’s World Cup semi-final against France.
Morocco have been the surprise team of the tournament, after becoming the first African and Arab country to reach the last four of the World Cup.
The North Africans earned a shock 1-0 win over Portugal in the quarter-finals, following up their penalty shootout success against Spain in the last-16.

The Moroccan Football Federation had offered free tickets to fans for several of their matches in Qatar, with the squad having been heavily backed in stadiums and around the host nation during the tournament.
According to the BBC, the federation will distribute 13,000 free tickets for tomorrow’s semi-final to Moroccan fans in Doha.
The tickets are expected to be distributed by the Moroccan embassy in Qatar.
Moroccan fans have also travelled on 30 promotional flights operated by Royal Air Maroc.
The state carrier had put on seven additional flights to allow fans to attend the quarter-final with Portugal last week.

‘In order to allow the many Moroccans wanting to support the national team at its peak and experience the emotion of the World Cup semi-final, Royal Air Maroc has set up an air bridge between Casablanca and Doha,’ Royal Air Maroc said in a statement.
‘The exceptional and heroic performance of the national team during the 2022 World Cup will forever be engraved in the memory of Moroccans.
‘A performance achieved thanks, in particular, to the fervour of the Moroccan public, the 12th man.’
The airline has not required fans to have secured a ticket for the semi-final before flying to Qatar.
Thousands of Moroccan fans have been pictured queuing at the Al Janoub Stadium today, with ticket sales for the semi-final opening this morning.
Around 20,000 Moroccan fans are expected to attend tomorrow’s semi-final, which will take place at the 68,895 capacity Al Bayt Stadium.
The stadium has previously hosted France’s World Cup quarter-final against England, with the holders emerging as 2-1 winners in the tie.
About a quarter of spaces at the 68,895-capacity venue were not taken for the match, with thousands of empty seats pictured.
Argentina and Croatia will meet in the first World Cup semi-final today.
