Jake Paul changes his mind several times over who is the greatest of all time out of Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe as both star in World Cup final epic… but he eventually goes for the Argentine after he lifted the trophy!
Much like the score of the game, Jake Paul spent the World Cup Final flip-flopping on his opinions, as Argentina took firm control of the game before France equalized but later lost on penalties to Lionel Scaloni’s side.
Lionel Messi opened the scoring in the 23rd minute via a penalty kick, and also played a role in the swift counterattack that led to Angel Di Maria scoring in the 36th minute.
And the YouTuber-turned-boxer took to Twitter with the game at 2-0 to praise the Argentine talisman.
Lionel Messi scored twice in the final to lift his first World Cup with Argentina on Sunday
‘Hard to admit as an American.. but Messi may be the greatest athlete ever,’ he said.
‘5’7, 148 lbs… Greatest non-penalty scorer of all time, greatest assister of all time. In a sport that has more people playing it than any other.’
And while it looked like Messi and Argentina would win the trophy in 90 minutes, Kylian Mbappe had something to say about that as he struck in the 80th and 81st minutes to equalize the game.

Paul was forced to rethink his earlier declaration after Mbappe’s heroics.
‘Hard to say this as an American…but Mbappe may be the greatest athlete of all time,’ he said less than an hour later with a laughing-crying emoji.
However, when Messi scored in extra time from a Lautaro Martinez rebound to give Argentina a 3-2 lead, Paul reverted back to his original statement.
‘Ok Messi still the greatest. Sorry Mbappe,’ he said.

But Mbappe had yet another answer, scoring his second penalty of the game in the 118th minute to send the game to penalty kicks after a handball from Gonzalo Montiel.
‘F ME! Mbappe the greatest to ever put on the cleats,’ Paul declared.
Finally, Argentina would win 4-2 on penalties with Messi converting there as well, and Paul emphatically went back to his original choice.

‘MESSI IS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME,’ he said.
He soon added, ‘GOOSEBUMPS. INCREDIBLE WORLD CUP. MBAPPE AND MESSI PUT ON A SHOW. WTF,’ accompanied with a video of him watching the decisive kick from Montiel.
The World Cup title is the first of Messi’s storied career and Argentina’s first since 1986.
