Les Bleus booked their place in the World Cup final against Argentina on Sunday with a 2-0 win over Morocco on Wednesday night – thanks to goals from Theo Hernandez and Randal Kolo Muani.
Didier Deschamps’ side will now have the opportunity to defend their title after also winning the 2018 World Cup in Russia, meaning they could become the first to defend the trophy since Brazil in 1962.

The France players were clearly delighted with the achievement of reaching the final in Qatar, as pictures have since emerged of huge celebrations inside the changing room from Wednesday night.
Veteran striker Olivier Giroud stripped down to slid around the changing room, including the big table in the middle, while Antoine Griezmann grabbed the speaker and wandered around raising it above his head.
Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni was smiling as he appeared to be thrown across the table in the celebrations.
Veteran forward Giroud started the celebrating by dancing in the middle of his team-mates

Other stars were captured sliding across the table in the middle while most of the team were dancing around the outside of the changing room, including goalscorer Marcus Thuram.
Even a few former France international stars such as Blaise Matuidi joined in the party inside the changing room while defenders Jules Kounde and Ibrahima Konate are said to have missed out on the celebrations after being summoned for anti-doping testing after the match.
‘We can’t even celebrate,’ the Reds’ centre-back Konate jokingly said as he filmed his teammate behind the scenes. ‘It sucks,’ Kounde replied
The party didn’t stop at just the changing room, as the players also celebrated as they returned back to their basecamp later in the evening with the hotel staff and France fans.

Madrid ace Tchouameni was also full of praise for his team-mates after overcoming the physical challenge of Morocco to reach the final.
He told L’Equipe: ‘It’s a World Cup semi-final. There are highlights, weak times. We knew we were going to play against a great team.
‘But we had a game plan and we knew that, on our forays and counter-attacks, we could put them in trouble. That is what we were able to do.
‘We knew that they would, at some point, have much stronger times than us. But that’s the truth of a match. We were able to make the back round and win this game.’

The 22-year-old also singled out Griezmann for praise for his superb performances throughout the World Cup, including in the Morocco win.
‘He’s a top player. He is showing on this World Cup all the quality he has. We’re super happy for him.’
The former Monaco man knows that Argentina will be a completely different test for France with Lionel Messi among plenty of other attacking threats in their line-up.
‘We will have to defend well. We will have to show all our qualities. It’s a World Cup final, there’s Messi but there’s also a lot of quality on the side.
‘We will have to be ready, well aware of the opportunity we have to write history. We’ll see what happens.’
