Lionel Messi led Argentina to World Cup glory at the Lusail Stadium, beating the defending champions France 4-2 on penalties after drawing 3-3 during the 120 minute game.
George placed a £20 bet ahead of kick-off and successfully returned £4,276.40 after correctly predicting seven outcomes during the game.

George took to Instagram to share a screenshot of his winnings. He wrote the accompanying caption: ‘If anyone deserves to win a bet, I think it’s me. Thank you all’.
The 31-year-old managed to correctly predicted that Messi and Kylian Mbappe would find the back of the net during the game. He also said that the game would end 2-2 after 90 minutes of action.

George went on to guess that there would be over one card handed out during the game and that five corners would take place.
The son of the famous BBC pundit also predicted that Argentina would emerge victorious and lift the trophy after a tense penalty shootout.
George secured odds of 170/1 for his bet. Therefore, he returned £4,276.40 after putting £20 down.
Fans have taken to social media to heap praise on his predictions. With his dad, Gary, being one of the first to comment.
He said: ‘You may have destroyed your reputation as the world’s worst gambler’, while Piers Morgan added: ‘Haha.. you were due one. Congrats mate.’
