France face Morocco in the second of the World Cup semi-finals to be played this week as the world champions look to avoid a major shock in Qatar.
Didier Deschamps’ team edged past England in the quarter-finals after winning 2-1 but his team will now be huge favourites to see off Morocco on Wednesday evening.
The African team made history after beating Portugal on Saturday to become the first team from the continent to reach a World Cup semi-final and will not fear the world champions as they target another big name scalp having also eliminated Spain.

France vs Morocco: Team news
France are likely to have the luxury of naming an unchanged team following the quarter-final victory over England and manager Didier Deschamps is expected to do just that given they are huge favourites to see off the challenge of Morocco on Wednesday.
Africa’s first World Cup semi-finalists however have a spate of injuries. Romain Saiss is a doubt after departing on a stretcher after 50 minutes in the shock win over Portugal. Walid Cheddira will also not play due to suspension.
Nayef Aguerd missed the quarter-final success with a groin problem but the West Ham defender could be back in contention to play.
Noussair Mazraoui had also been ruled out with illness as well as a hip issue but he may not return to the team given the excellent display by his replacement Yahya Attiyat Allah.

Head-to-head record
France are unbeaten against Morocco in seven games stretching back to their first meeting in 1975 – but none of those have come in competitive matches.
Most of those also came before the turn of the 21st century and they have only played each other just once since the year 2000.
At the Stade de France in 2007 Tarik Sektioui gave Morocco a lead only for Sidney Govou and Samir Nasri to hit back for the home side. Youssef Mokhtari though found an equaliser for the African outfit with just five minutes to play.
