Erling Haaland rides a lawn mower, dresses a mannequin like Kevin De Bruyne and calls Jack Grealish during a hilarious Sky Sports advert outlining just how ‘bored’ the Man City striker has been during the World Cup
Sky Sports have released a hilarious video outlining exactly what Erling Haaland has been getting up to while the 2022 World Cup has been on.
The Manchester City forward was forced to stay at home while a selection of his team-mates travelled to Qatar because Norway failed to qualify for the tournament.
Haaland said he’s been ‘working hard‘ while his friends have been away, but admitted to ‘missing the banter’ during their team training sessions.
Sky Sports released the footage of Haaland on their social media pages to promote the return of the Premier League on December 26.
The video started by showing Haaland walking around the Manchester City training base on his own. He was heard saying: ‘I’ve been working hard while the guys have been away. ‘
The video then cut to Haaland sitting on a physio bed, starring into the distance. He said: ‘Sometimes… it’s a bit boring’.
The hilarious advert then jumped to Haaland driving around the pitch on a law mower. He was heard saying: ‘But time is flying’.
The 22-year-old striker even spent his time dressing up a practice mannequin for company. He was seen placing a ‘Kevin 17’ shirt on the apparatus and speaking to it.

This was in reference to his impressive partnership with Kevin De Bruyne – who has assisted the Norwegian striker four times this season.
Haaland – who is desperate for the Premier League to get back underway – was also seen bursting into one of Manchester City’s meeting rooms during the clip.
He heard laughter and thought his team-mates had returned. However, it was just Micah Richards and Roy Keane laughing on the TV.
Haaland went on to call Jack Grealish during the clip. But, he failed to get through. Instead he heard the England star’s voicemail: ‘Alright, it’s Jack, leave a message’.
Despite being bored at home, Haaland did wish his team-mates well. He said: ‘Anyway, I hope the guys are doing well, and I am looking forward to seeing them soon.’

Haaland was on fire for Manchester City before the break. He has scored 18 Premier League goals in 12 games since arriving at City in the summer of 2022
The Premier League season will get back underway on December 26 – just eight days after the World Cup final between Argentina and France.
As it stands, Arsenal are sitting top of the table on 37 points. While, City are in second place on 32 points.
However, prior to their first Premier League game against Leeds United, City will take part in their Carabao Cup round of 16 fixture against Liverpool on December 22.
