There have been several favourites for the Leeds United job vacated by Jesse Marsch with former Wolves and Spurs head coach Nuno Espirito Santo the latest.
All odds are taken from Oddschecker…
1) Michael Skubala
We are in dangerous territory here. The caretaker manager is now the favourite despite a critical loss at Everton.
2) Nuno Espirito Santo
A complete different style of football from the former Tottenham and Wolves man who is currently in Saudi Arabia and would very much like to return to the Premier League, thank you.
3) Steven Gerrard
This has disaster written all over it.
4) Andoni Iraola
A former player under Marcelo Bielsa at Athletic Bilbao, Iraola is currently the manager of Rayo Vallecano. His style is very Bielsa-like and he would presumably have the approval of the great man himself. But he has now been ruled out.
5) Pedro Martins
The 52-year-old is currently boss of Qatari side Al-Gharafa SC and spent four years with Olympiakos between 2018 and 2022, winning three Greek titles in that time.
6) Graham Potter
The Chelsea head coach is the current favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked. Would he go straight back into management if he is dismissed by Todd Boehly?
7) Andre Villas-Boas
Speaking of being sacked by Chelsea, Villas-Boas is in the mix. He is out of work after a difficult stint in charge of Marseille ended in 2021.
8) Gerardo Martino
Formerly in charge of Barcelona, Martino admitted this week he “would not just go anywhere”. He wants a ‘project’.
