Bettor with $557,770 on the line in the World Cup final after six teams of his $26 seven-leg league championship parlay came through CASHES OUT for $283,583… as a France loss would leave him with nothing!
A bettor who stood to win $557,000 if France beat Argentina in the World Cup Final has cashed out for more than $283,000, marking the end of a seven-leg journey that began nearly nine months ago.
Daniel Forte placed his longshot bet on March 25, as he first correctly predicted the Kansas Jayhawks would win the NCAA men’s basketball tournament the following month.
From there, the Golden State Warriors, Colorado Avalanche, AC Milan, Los Angeles FC and Manchester City all claimed their respective league titles, with the latter two doing so in extremely dramatic fashion.

Forte’s wild ride begin all the way in March when he placed the seven-leg longshot
Amazingly, Forte put down just $26 on the initial bet.
And with France navigating their way out of Group D and then past Poland, England and Morocco, Forte’s punt emerged as a legitimate possibility this week.
However, less than 24 hours before the final was to be played, Forte decided to take a cash out offer from FanDuel that has swelled to 283,538.52 or roughly $184,592 after taxes.
Forte posed for a photo with his phone showing he had no ‘active bets’ after travelling to Arizona to accept the cash out.
Forte would have been going against Lionel Messi had he not cashed out his parlay
While Forte is potentially leaving more than $274,000 (before taxes) on the table, his decision may prove to be a wise one.
Despite making the final, France have been unconvincing defensively at times in Qatar, with their 2-0 semifinal win vs. Morocco their only clean sheet of the tournament.
With the game being deemed a virtual toss-up by bookmakers, it’s surely not a bad idea to avoid going against Lionel Messi.
