And 25.78 million viewers tuned into the thrilling encounter in the United States as 16.78m watched FOX Sports’ coverage while nine million fixed their eyes on the spectacle via Telemundo, streamed on Peacock.

The epic showdown at the weekend beat the 15.49m who watched the USMNT tie 0-0 with England in the group stage.
A third of Telemundo’s audience tuned in via streaming which made Sunday’s match the most streamed soccer game of all time in the United States, as reported by NBC Universal.
However the Final is still not the most watched soccer match ever in the USA with the 2015 Women’s World Cup Final claiming top spot.

The game attracted 26.7m viewers with 25.4m watching via FOX and 1.3m tuning in to Telemundo’s coverage as the USWNT beat Japan 5-2 in Vancouver, Canada.
An average of 5.6m people in the United States tuned in to watch the group stages in Qatar as the USMNT advanced to the knockout stages after finishing runners-up to England in Group B.
Gregg Berhalter’s team crashed out of the tournament after a 3-1 loss to Holland in the last-16 but the quarterfinals lured in 10.4m viewers and the semifinals saw over 11m US viewers tune in.
Fox’s coverage of the dramatic World Cup Final beat the viewership figures for CBS’s (14.83m) and NBC’s (15.38m) NFL broadcasts on Sunday.
