Al-Nassr president Musalli Al Muammar has publicly denied talking to superstar free agent Cristiano Ronaldo during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The 37-year-old superstar, who lost his place in Portugal’s starting line-up after falling out of favour with manager Fernando Santos, crashed out of the World Cup against Morocco in the quarter-finals on Saturday.
The forward has been a free agent since mutually terminating his contract with Manchester United last month in the wake of his explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

Reports, however, emerged earlier this month that Ronaldo had accepted a jaw-dropping contract worth £173million-a-year with Al Nassr, but the veteran’s team has since rubbished these claims.
The move to Saudi Arabia would make him the highest earner in sport by some distance, but it appears the forward still has his heart set on remaining in Europe.
The Saudi Arabia president has now denied reports that the club have been negotiating with Ronaldo during the major tournament.

‘Cristiano was busy recently with the World Cup and I didn’t expect him to negotiate with anyone’, the president told SSC Sports channel.
‘We will not speak about other players, I wish the best to Cristiano with any decision.’
The latest updates comes after it had been revealed that Ronaldo trained at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas training ground for a second day as he looks to stay in shape while searching for a new club.

The Portuguese star trained alone at the facility on Wednesday, according to Spanish outlet Relevo.
It has been reported that the 37-year-old asked Real Madrid president Florentino Perez if he could train at Valdebebas for a few days following his country’s defeat to Morocco in the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Qatar.
Perez gave Ronaldo the green light to use their facilities, reportedly telling the Portuguese star: ‘Of course, this is your home.’
Ronaldo is expected to continue training in Madrid until he finds a new club, which he’ll be hoping will be on January, 1 – the first day possible for him to agree a new deal.
